Races of Terramar

RACES OF TERRAMAR

Most standard fantasy settings have humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings, and half-orcs. Terramar is a bit different.

On Terramar, the most numerous races are humans (above ground), insect men (below ground), and fishmen (under water).

MAJOR RACES

*Humans

*Insect Men a/k/a Myrmidons a/k/a Kreen a/k/a Phraints

*Fishmen/Deep Ones (generally neutral toward humans and engage in trade, friendly toward fishermen, sailors, and coast dwellers)

Reptilian races a/k/a “Scalykind” including:

Lizardfolk (some are neutral toward humans and want to engage in trade, others are hostile toward humans and towards the first type of Lizardfolk)

Dragonborn

Ophidians/Yuan-Ti (some are neutral towards humans or are even good citizens of the Agorian Empire, others are subjects of the Ophidian Empire which is a rival of the Agorians)

Kobolds (generally friendly towards humans and extremely friendly towards other reptilians)

Serpentfolk (reclusive but not particularly hostile toward humans)

Troglodytes (generally hostile toward all non-reptilian races)

Naga (reclusive and arrogant/condescending but not particularly hostile)

Beastmen including Minotaurs, Goatkin/Broo, Ratlings, Pigmen, Cave Apes (Pyramid 3.72), Kenku/Tengu, and Felinoids
